I’ve spent many years of my life experimenting in various forms of art, such as drawing, painting, cosmetic artistry and photography. I had been feeling creatively lost after giving up my career as a make up artist and hair designer to stay home and raise my young daughter. After making time to take an acrylic painting class in 2008, I realized that taking the time to nurture my creative side would open up a world for me that I had forgotten existed. With the encouragement, support and guidance of my instructor, I rediscovered my passion for painting and my need for creative expression. I enjoy the versatility of acrylic paints and often add texture and dimension through mixed media to most of my work. I have found great passion in painting bold, vibrant flowers. For me, flowers have always induced feelings of joy, peace and warmth. These feelings are what I try to convey in my paintings. In painting these flowers, I feel as though I have bloomed internally as a person, a mother, a friend and an artist. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to share my passion for art and flowers. My business, Internal Bloom, was born after my first solo exhibit in 2010. My work is sold through my website, social media, art fairs, exhibits and local shops and galleries. In 2011, I began instructing acrylic painting classes. I offer acrylic painting classes for both adults and children throughout the year. Classes are offered at Plymouth Community Arts Council in Plymouth, MI
