Garden Sale CALL FOR ENTRY

Since 1932 the Detroit Artists Market has been rooted in the history of Detroit art and culture, and continues today to be a community organization promoting contemporary art by emerging and established artists. The Garden Sale is a DAM tradition from our earliest years, hosted at a local home and offering our members a memorable event in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Entry Procedure
- Artists may submit up to 12 (twelve) entries
- Entries will be juried by digital images in JPEG or TIF format, submitted on a disc.
- Artists may submit a maximum of ten entries in any media created within the last two years
- One image for each 2-dimensional artwork and up to three images for each 3-dimensional artwork may be submitted.
- All images must be of professional quality.
Digital Format
Digital files may be submitted on a Microsoft Windows-compatible CD in JPEG or TIF file format only. No application format files will be accepted (such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc) The top of the image should be oriented to the top of the screen. Each digital image should be clearly marked with artist’s name and title of work as the file name. Indicate entry A—L. File size must be at least 300 dpi, larger than 800K and not exceed 2MB.
Entry Fee
The Garden Party & Art Sale is a benefit of membership. In order to be an exhibiting artist your membership must be current. Please see below for the list of memberships and cost. Cash, check, or credit cards are accepted. Please make all checks payable toDetroit Artists Market .

Volunteer Opportunity
Please contact DAM if you are interested in volunteering for the sale. Jobs include; unpacking and set up of artwork, registration, sales, wrapping, tear-down and repacking of artwork.

Pick-up unsold exhibited artwork
Presentation
Artwork must be prepared in a professional manner for installation. Jurors reserve the right to remove any artwork not accurately represented by submitted digital images.
Sales
DAM retains 1/3 (33.33%) commission for staffing, processing and making sales. Michigan sales tax is collected and submitted. Payments to artists will be no later than 30 days after the closing of the exhibition.
Eligibility
The Garden Party & Art Sale is open to all Michigan and Ontario residents 18 and older, with a DAM membership. Artists may submit a maximum of ten entries in any media created within the last two years. All works submitted must be available for sale.
Liability
Every precaution will be taken to assure protection of the work; however the Detroit Artists Market is not responsible for loss or damage.
