The Detroit Artists Market is pleased to announce our Exhibition schedule from August 2010 to April 2011. This schedule showcases the diverse talents and creative visions of some of Detroit and Southeast Michigan’s finest artists working today.
That DAM Box Show 2, August 10 - 20, 2010
An auction event featuring works by area artists made from old film boxes, contributed by Wayne State University Library Systems. All proceeds to benefit the Detroit Artists Market. Closing silent auction event August 20th, 6-9pm.
Tenebroso - Sergio De Giusti , September 10 – October 16, 2010
We begin our 2010-11 season with a special exhibition highlighting the work of Sergio De Giusti, who has been a key figure in Detroit’s art community for more than forty years.
Art for the Holidays , November 12 – December 23, 2010
The entire gallery is transformed into a winter market with works by more than 125 local artists. Perfect for holiday gifts, collecting, or decorating, there is something unique for everyone.
DAM Design Show , January 14 – February 19, 2011
Designers will take on this process in creating objects for the “bath”. We will provide an intimate look into how design “happens”, and results in unique functional pieces. Considering design from another perspective, the ticketed opening reception event will feature a fashion show.
Annual Scholarship Awards and Exhibition: Cranbrook , March 4 – April 9, 2011
DAM has a 75 year history of supporting emerging artists; we turn the spotlight on the best new artists emerging from the area’s stellar arts programs. This year students will be selected from the Cranbrook Art Academy.
