CLOSING BIDS RECEPTION THIS FRIDAY - August 20th, 6-9pm.  Bidding closes at 8:45 p.m.  Come in early to get your bidder number and see all the boxes!

 

The Detroit Artists Market brings back THAT DAM BOX SHOW this summer for an auction you won’t want to miss!  Nearly 300 local artists were given old film reel boxes, donated by Wayne State University Library Systems,  to create original works of art.  These boxes will be on display and silent auction beginning Tuesday, August 10th.  Be sure to see the show and find your favorite works prior to the final day - the show closes with a Final Bidding Reception on Friday, August 20th from 6-9pm.   Bidding will be fast and furious that evening, and the bidding closes at 8:45pm sharp!  All auction proceeds benefit the mission and programs of the Detroit Artists Market.

Guests can sign up for a bidding number at any time - but you want to be sure to be here on Friday August 20th to keep the bids growing and to win the artworks you desire.  Winners can purchase and are encouraged to take home your winnings that evening.

We extend our special thanks to the many artists who are donating these original artworks to THAT DAM BOX SHOW 2 - and to the generous bidders who participate in the auction.

Gary Schwartz is an award-winning animator, director,  artist, filmmaker and teacher. He has taught animation throughout the country and in Europe. Through his company, Single Frame Films, Gary has produced, designed and directed animation for Disney, Sesame Street,  MTV, Fox Television, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and others.
