Tylonn J. Sawyer, our juror for the All Media Exhibition, is an American figurative artist, educator, and curator living and working in Detroit. His work centers around themes of individual and collective identity, race, history and pop culture. His drawings and paintings have been included in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. Sawyer is a full-time instructor of art at Oakland Community College and teaches drawing at the College for Creative Studies. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drawing and painting from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the New York Academy of Art: Graduate School of Figurative Art.
