WHAT WE DO

Detroit Artists Market (DAM) serves Metro Detroit artists, art enthusiasts, collectors, and curators who are dedicated to empowering artists and enriching the Detroit art community. DAM not only provides a platform for artists to have a voice and execute their visions, but also opportunities to sell their work.

DAM’s exhibitions, which are at the core of our work, are not designated by an individual curator. Instead, they are selected in a collaborative process by a volunteer Exhibitions committee who invite our local community to submit proposals for consideration in DAM’s exhibition season. This committee is a working group of local artists, curators, educators, and arts administrators who bring an intersectional lens to their work. DAM intentionally chooses to not rely on a single individual to ensure that while our curatorial perspective is broad, our focus remains community centric.
