Alanna St. Laurent
Michigan Train Station Great Room
My name is Alanna and I am a full-time photographer specializing in Detroit fine art architecture, urban and abandonment photography. Most of my images are processed using a technique called High Dynamic Range (HDR). I also own a photography workshop company, Discover Your World Photography Workshops + Tours, offering local photographers opportunities to experience Detroit through photography. In 2007, my photographic interest started after completing a Basic Digital Photography course at the College for Creative Studies (CCS). I consider myself an historian/documentarian of sorts during Detroit's changing landscape, documenting a past culture that no longer exists while portraying the beauty that still exists in places that might not be seen as beautiful.
